ABOUT ABOUT

This is a very touching story about friendship and courage. "Iron Mike" Webster, who passed away in 2002, was the first NFL player to receive a diagnosis of chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or C.T.E. This degenerative brain disease is linked to repeated hits to the head. 12:52 The Mike Webster Story depicts the drama after Webster's football career ends - offering a glimpse into the hardships that Webster faces due to his undiagnosed disease. The play centers on the friendship he forms with Sonny Jani, his lasting relationship with Terry Bradshaw, and the heartbreak of his marriage and family suffering due to his condition. The play also sheds light on Webster's struggle to bring justice for himself, his family, and to other players who have suffered from head injuries due to playing football.  If ever there was a story that captures the grit, determination, and strength of the human character this is it. An absolute must-see event.
