Over the River and Through the Woods is about a young, carefree, single bachelor in New Jersey named Nick. He spends nearly every Sunday afternoon visiting and dining with either of his two sets of grandparents, who are ethnic Italians. One Thursday Nick makes an unscheduled visit to announce that his corporate employer will be promoting and relocating him to Seatle, Washington in a few months. His grandparents are shocked, and dedicate themselves to making Nick stay. A warm-hearted, boisterously funny, and touching story about intergenerational relationships, deep familial love, and inevitable little heartbreaks that occur as time passes and children grow.
